About Makeadaze
Hi there!
My name is Laura and I’m the owner, artist and chief Joy Maker at Makeadaze. I’ve always been a creative person but never found a real way to channel it. However, once I started playing with polymer clay and then dabbling with drawing again, I soon found a desire to take a fun hobby and make it a business I love to bits.
Makeadaze, as a name, evolved after much debating with my husband but I took inspiration from my younger years and my crafting weekend adventures with my Dad and little brother, which were dubbed “Maker Days”. I gave it a twist to convey one of my values of trying to Bring Joy to others through my art. Makeadaze was born!
I’m super inspired by the natural world, folklore, legends and the art of Jim Henson, Brian Froud as well as fashion and design of the 1960s and 70s
I currently live and work in Surrey, UK in my own little Hobbit home with my hubby, cat, tortoise and step-son. My day job takes me to the land of coffee, baking and cooking (which you get a peek into on my Insta) and I’m also a proud Neurospicy gal. All these magical traits tend show up in my work and on my social media.
